Institutional Buyers vs Retail Sellers
Since the approval of exchange traded funds the crypto ecosystem has been going up with slight corrections. while the data showed that the Bitcoin outflow in the centralized exchanges stems from the purchases by spot Bitcoin ETFs, the sellers are majorly the retailers who assumed that the price of Bitcoin would drop as a result of the "buy the rumor and sell the news" motto.
it is a bit difficult to understand the importance of spot Bitcoin ETFs because it is nothing like other short term narratives. it is actually the 1st step taken to institutional mass adoption that will let institutions hold Bitcoin as a collateral or investment. as the majority of crypto investors were suffering from the bear market conditions which financially and psychologically tired them a lot for the last three years, believing in the high potentials in the market sounds like an unreal dream for them.
However, when we have a look at the news, policies, updates around the globe, we clearly see that things are getting better every day. For example, one of the the latest policy changes came from Virginia Senate. it is decided that artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies are going to shape the future of human life. Thus, the Senate approved to allocate some funds to research and develop products to adopt these futuristic advancements of technology. Personally, I am expecting to see similar actions taken both in the United States and the other developed countries initially. Then, we may start to see some broader policies accepted as a standardization around the world.
Of course the launch of spot Bitcoin ETF negatively affected some parties. For instance, the need for Grayscales GBTC went down as people wanted to hold Bitcoin under the protection of some giants through custodial services rather than jumping into margin or future positions in a highly volatile small-cap market. apart from GBTC, MicroStrategy shares dropped significantly. the reason why it happened though Michael Saylor was a Bitcoin maximalist is that a lot of people bought MicroStrategy shares so that they could buy Bitcoin indirectly through MicroStrategy shares. after the mid-January, the fundamental changes occurred in both financial services. Now, a crypto company that was heavily affected by the collapse of FTX, Genesis, is set to liquidate its GBTC positions.. This means that further $1.3B GBTC will be dumped on the market.
On the path of creating a blockchain - based new world system, we may witness a lot of discussions, politically correct or wrong decisions, rug pulls and bad actors. However, none of them can interrupt the growth of the ecosystem and the demand on true decentralization via ownership economy. Until it becomes easy enough for everyone to get decentralized, we need side support of the existing fiat money system.
In line with the philosophy of crypto people, the hype on AI, GPU delegations, Real World assets and GameFi is always vivid. Similar to the price actions we saw in NVIDIA, Intel and many other technology giants, the introduction of Sora by Open AI made WorldCoin spike 50% in a day! The strong correlation is a big plus for the sake of our ecosystem.
Finally, the launchpool of Pixels was over on Binance and the token was listed on the exchange. The initial price of the token was around $0.52 with a massive volume. Within 5 hours, it tested $0.70 and now it consolidates around $0.62! The fantastic debut proves that a brand new GameFi project has joined the ecosystem
