Permaculture - Sounds like a gardener's nightmare?
Most gardeners and horticulturists, whose experience of growing plants I get to know with interest, are to some extent perfectionists, because they want to see an ideal garden and vegetable garden, with trimmed trees and even, weed-free beds.
Personally, I am still very far from such perfectionism, but I am not against cultivating it in myself.
This is how my grandmother and mother imagined a vegetable garden, and I only helped them with this.
Therefore, there is nothing strange in the fact that this is exactly how I imagined a vegetable garden on my land lol.
But, one day, my daughter returned from university where she studies hydrotechnics and melioration and enthusiastically began to talk about a lecture that was devoted to a method that for such gardeners listed above looks like a nightmare lol and this method is called permaculture.
In short, this is harmony on the land plot between plants and living organisms, and there is no such thing as weeds and weeding the garden there at all.
In fact, the plot will turn into thickets of vegetation, but there will be a system of small ponds with fish, and chickens and goats will just run where they want lol.
In principle, I like it, from the pros it can be noted that there will be more time for barbecue, but from the cons, it is unlikely that I will remember where exactly I planted carrots there.
I imagined that I would tell something similar to my grandmother and tell her that I will no longer weed the garden, she would look at me and say - You are lazy!
There is probably some truth in this, but permaculture is an interesting topic!
