I meet a friend every day while playing Badminton. He mentioned that he is approaching his 50 and has made it a practice to do a blood checkup every 3 months. Though there are no problems in the body yet to do any test, I was wondering if it is good to voulenterily do some testing and make sure we are healthy.
I strongly believe that when it comes to health, our body contributes half and our mind contributes the other half. If there is something wrong with the body, it would be visible. But if something is wrong with our mind, our body sometimes may not show signs, but our body will also look as if something is wrong. A few years back, when I had anxiety and panic attack issues, I thought something was wrong with my body and that I was going to die. But when gradually my mind got healed, my body also stopped showing any signs.
Regular checkup
One of my friends is a doctor, and he mentioned that it is good to do a health checkup regularly. Some people might say that we shouldn't invite any problems voluntarily. Though it is true, if we do a simple checkup, it creates a strength to our mind saying that we are healthy and we don't have to worry too much about anything. That strength alone should be sufficient to give us peace of mind as long as there is no alarming problem. If there are serious issues, they would become evident in the test. Either ways, it is a win win.
Healthy food and exercise
In spite of the fact that we are doing the test regularly or not, it is good to have a healthy food habit. Along with healthy food, it is also important that we do regular exercise as well. This will give us a good routine, and whatever happens, our body should be able to heal by itself or stay healthy. Based on the age we are in, we can do the exercise accordingly. If we are very young, the exercise can be vigorous, and if we are a little older, we can do just walking or simple exercise.
