Facility to earn Rs 1000 by reporting bad toilets to NHAI

in LeoFinance3 days ago

Recently National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) introduced a scheme where we can purchase yearly pass and save a lot of money there. It was definitely worth it because two days back I was travelling with my friend to multiple places. If it was not for the yearly pass, we would have paid about 1500 Rs for toll but now we paid a very small amount because with the yearly pass one toll cost comes only to Rs 15. If we cross a state highway toll, we still have to pay the money. That is the difference.

I'm glad to see a recent news from the NHAI that they are rewarding users who report about the cleanliness of the toilets. Every toll gate is now having a toilet and this initiative is to maintain clean toilets across India. The report can be made with the help of Rajmargyatra application. When a report is made with the vehicle registration number and if the report is valid, the user will get their fast tag account credited with amount upto Rs 1000.

There are two advantages in this scheme even though it is available only for a limited period of time. One thing is that they are able to keep a track of all the unhygienic toilets so that they can take action on that and the other thing is that they are able to provide best support to the people who commute. For example, people who commute usually will have to be dependent on Petrol bunks or other public toilets which can sometimes be good and sometimes it may not be that great. Now that we are having good toilets in NHAI toll gates, it makes it convenient for the commuters.

AI assisted verification

In order to find out whether the reports made by people are valid or not, AI assisted verification process is setup. The initial screening is done by AI and followed by that a manual verification is also done to find the valid results. This is to ensure that fair distribution of rewards is done to the genuine people who are providing the report. The first valid entry is only considered for the reward even though multiple people report about the same toilet.

I think this is a great initiative irrespective of the fact that they give reward or not. People who are maintaining the toilets will now be careful that they are being watched. But I would be glad and happy if the reward was always there instead of keeping this thing only for a short period of time.

Wow that's a nice initiative for the users, I wish there was it here too, but no one cares of bathrooms here

Wow. This is a beautiful initiative, at least people would confidently use the public toilets knowing fully well that it would be neat

Amazing initiative, I hope this becomes a permanent program instead of a short-term one.

I think I can pitch in with multiple reporting....we have some good example on eastern roadway.
