We have all been purchasing a lot of products from Amazon and Flipkart, and other e-commerce platforms online. Sometimes we get good deals, and sometimes we end up paying a lot of money for the products. It all depends on how lucky we are and if we get an offer or not. To be very honest, I used to shop a lot. Even now, if the cost is not much, I end up buying a lot of things online. I used to do that a lot on Flipkart and Amazon, but compared to these big giants, there are other online platforms available these days.
I've recently discovered Meesho, and I'm impressed by how cheap things are there. I can even buy low-priced items without any delivery charge, and the prices are very decent. But despite all that, certain items can be purchased only from reputable online stores, and when it comes to that, I switch gears to Amazon or Flipkart, even if I end up paying a little extra. For instance, if I need to buy a high-cost item, I wouldn't trust Meesho or Flipkart. I mostly pick the items from Amazon, and I've been lucky so far to get some good deals, too.
Prime day sale is happening right now, and today is the middle day in the sale and I don't know how good it is, but I remember that there used to be a time when I kept track of all these things and purchased something or the other during the prime day sale. Sometimes, if I have to buy something for the house, I wait for the prime day or any offer days and purchase it during the offer. Right now, I don't have any immediate necessary items. But if I go to the Amazon page to see something, their marketing team is very clever in showing me the products that I once searched and if they are in offer right now or not. This is very tempting right now, but I have no idea to purchase anything right now.
Out of curiosity, I did surf through the site to see if there are any attractive offers on any of the products, but I noticed that most of the products are at the same price. Some people even say that they elevate the price a week or two before prime day and during the Prime Day sale, they get back to the old price, and they say there is a certain percentage discount. I don't know if these things are happening right now or not. But I don't see a big benefit in the price right now on some of the items that I usually check.
There is also another interesting theory in which Amazon gets benefited. When they are going to offer some product at a lower price, they elevate the price and before the offer starts, some people might be curious to purchase on prime day and they go for it. They end up purchasing the product before the sale at a price that is elevated. This way, Amazon wins extra when they lose money on other products during the offer. But overall, the purchase of products increase during this time, increasing the demand and profit for the company.
