Recently, I read an article saying that some studies show that a father's singing can be especially soothing for their babies because of its lower pitch, lower frequency and rhythmic patterns. It can also regulate their infant's emotions and decrease instances of crying and distress.

This reminded of when I was a few weeks post partum. We endured few hours of sleep every night. I would sleep until 12 midnight while my husband would look after our son. And he would wake me up to look after our son from 12 midnight onwards. Just enough for him to have six hours sleep and prepare for work the next day.
One time, he was already feeling sleepy earlier than his schedule so he recorded a song:
la-la la la-la-la
la-la la la-la-la-la
He played it on loop.
What a smart way to sleep early!
I was laughing when I heard it but guess what, it worked!

That was our little boy's lullabye for a few weeks. We were co- sleeping with our baby so while that was his lullabye, I was having quite a hard time falling asleep. haha
I am not sure if my husband still has that recording on his phone until now.
So for new parents, you might want to try it too. Honestly, being first time parents, we had been experimenting on how to go about and we are just grateful we are getting through. There is no harm in trying. 🤞🏼✌🏻
