El fin de semana mi hijo César, tuvo la gran oportunidad de participar en el festival Caribeño de Ajedrez, ejecutado en nuestra bella Isla de Margarita, específicamente en el hotel Hipocampus, evento valido para rating internacional. Acudieron representantes, arbritos y atletas de Colombia y diferentes Estados de nuestro país, fueron 3 dias de intensas jornadas iniciando el viernes, sábado y finalizando el dia de ayer, domingo, jugaron bajo la modalidad de ajedrez clásico o estandar
En el evento se jugaron 7 rondas en total. Repartidas; 2 rondas el día viernes 3 rondas el dia sabado y 2 rondas el domingo, el tiempo estipulado para cada ronda era de 45 minutos más 30 segundos de incremento. Mi hijo César estaba muy animado de participar ya que esta modalidad de tiempo es justo la que le agrada, ya que hay otras, que son de ejecución muy rápida, la llaman blitz, que son jugadas super rápidas de 1 minuto o 3 minutos total de duración y esas le estresan un poco porque dice que no le permite analizar con calma sus movimientos.
Fue una jornada larga, pero muy satisfactoria, cada vez es una experiencia nueva que le permite crecer e interactuar con otros participantes que comparten este gusto , Me llena de orgullo verlo avanzar y disfrutar esta disciplina. Aunque les confieso que es muy agotador, sin embargo vale la pena , paso a paso es satisfactorio verlo lograr sus metas, con perseverancia y dedicacion todo se puede. Acompañarlo y darle un abrazo cuando gana o cuando no logra ganar es parte del proceso y del crecimiento. En este festival le fue muy bien, jugó en una categoría superior en la sub 14,( el tiene 12 años) sin embargo logró quedar de 4 to lugar. Les confieso que a César no le gusta el momento de la premiacion, me dice " mamá, es que no me gusta que unos si tengan medallas y otros no" César tiene un corazón muy noble, el es muy tímido pero es muy cariñoso 💖

The weekend my son Cesar, had the great opportunity to participate in the Caribbean Chess Festival, executed in our beautiful Margarita Island, specifically in the Hipocampus hotel, event valid for international rating. There were 3 days of intense days starting on Friday, Saturday and ending yesterday, Sunday, they played under the modality of classic or standard chess
. In the event 7 rounds were played in total. The time stipulated for each round was 45 minutes plus 30 seconds of increment. My son Cesar was very excited to participate because this time mode is just what he likes, as there are others, which are very fast execution, called blitz, which are super fast moves of 1 minute or 3 minutes total duration and those stress him a little because he says that does not allow him to calmly analyze his moves.
It was a long day, but very satisfying, each time is a new experience that allows him to grow and interact with other participants who share this taste, it fills me with pride to see him advance and enjoy this discipline. Although I confess that it is very tiring, however it is worth it, step by step it is satisfying to see him achieve his goals, with perseverance and dedication everything is possible. Accompanying him and giving him a hug when he wins or when he fails to win is part of the process and growth. In this festival he did very well, he played in a higher category in the U14, (he is 12 years old) however he managed to finish in 4th place. I confess that Cesar does not like the moment of the awards, he tells me "mom, I do not like that some have medals and others do not
" Cesar has a very noble heart, he is very shy but he is very affectionate 💖
