Today I had an interesting experience while walking in the forest to discover the various biodiversity that is still hidden in the forest there, and how lucky I was, while exploring in the forest I found an insect/beetle in the Scutelleridae group and is also often referred to as shield beetle, this was really a beautiful day for me because this beetle was an interesting experience and discovery for me for the first time in the world of insects, before I had never found a beetle this beautiful and had a calm attitude.
as you will see in each photo that I have captured for you, this beetle has a unique body shape, which resembles a small shield and has a striking color pattern, this beetle has a metallic and bright color, but the results of my observations try to do that this beetle uses body color to hide behind the leaves from attacks by predators who will prey on them, this beetle is very beautiful especially when the soft evening sunlight shines around them which forms a gleam of light on the beetle's body, apart from that this beetle also have two long, prominent antennae on their heads.
seeing the presence of Scutelleridae in the forest today reminds us all of how important it is to protect forests which are natural habitats for all types of insects and beetles, especially to maintain the existence of beautiful species like the Scutelleridae which I just discovered, these beetles have become important creatures in the forest because with their existence them, the forest looks complete and better, so through this post I want to invite all of you to preserve the forest so that all the life that has not yet been discovered will continue to exist in the future, Scutelleridae with radiating metallic colors and I have immortalized several pieces photos from various sides of the beetle to share with all of you.
