RE: Juma Mosque, Shamakhi. Az.

It really doesn't look that ancient after all the renovations but it is cute. Though I mostly skip mosques, as I often feel unwanted there.

As far as see it the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan is deep rooted from history

It is but these roots have little meaning outside of the territorial dispute for Karabakh, which has ended.

I believe I shall take the Armenian view

Imo. Armenia didn't care about Azerbaijani refugees from Karabakh for 30+ years - based on the right of force. Don't think they have any moral superiority over Azerbaijan after that, not to mention the support of Armenia for Putin's Russia's crimes all these years - voting in the UN for Russia, etc. This was a payment for having the right of force (with the help of Russia) over Azerbaijan. Rotten. Now, Armenia has decided to change its skin, and claims to smell like a flower.

The internationally recognized borders have been restored by Azerbaijan. I hope Azerbaijan will be wise enough not to continue the confrontation with Armenia and allow the whole region to leave this geopolitical spider web.

Sort:

It certainly is a spiders web, I think a lot of countries were prepared to suck putin's cock in exchange for cheap gas and oil, and so called "security" as you sow, so shall you reap.
