Visiting Taman Sari Gunongan // A historical place in the center of Banda Aceh city that offers cultural heritage sites that can still be enjoyed today. What is the purpose of building this park and what are the conditions inside?

Good night to all my beloved hive friends ❤️

Taman sari gunongan is still one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city of Banda Aceh, especially for tourists who want to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the park and want to know more about the history of Aceh. Taman sari gunongan was built directly by Sultan Iskandar Muda in the 17th century, but do you know what the purpose of building this park is? According to information I got from the officers there, this park was built by Sultan Iskandar Muda for his beloved wife, his wife came from the Pahang kingdom in Malaysia, and at that time his wife missed her hometown so much that Sultan Iskandar Muda made a park as beautiful as this as a place to play as well as to entertain his wife, and with this park it is one proof of Sultan Iskandar Muda's love for his wife which can still be felt today.

This park itself is located close to Putro Phang Park and previously the two parks were one park called Taman Gairah, but currently the two parks are separated by the main road in the city of Banda Aceh, but both parks remain beautiful and historic places that are highly recommended to visit when in the city of Banda Aceh.

This is the condition of several mini parks on the side of the road and this is also the main road to get to Putro Phang Park and Gunongan Park, but I don't really understand the exact direction of these roads because I only know a little information about several tourist attractions that I have visited.

Seeing some of these mini parks might make you wonder if this is really in the city center, and the answer is yes, Banda Aceh City is a city rich in history and cultural heritage, some places are deliberately decorated and planted with many plants and trees on the side of the road to make the urban atmosphere cooler.

It only takes about five minutes to get to this place by motorbike, but at that time I chose to visit it on foot, it might feel very tiring but it is something good for my health. From outside the fence this place already looks very interesting, but what are the conditions inside?

When entering the main area, we will immediately meet the security post, I immediately approached the post with the aim of buying an entrance ticket, but the officer there said that entry to this park was free of charge, hearing this, I immediately realized several things, one of which was that this place was so amazing.

In the main area, it can be seen that the park is very clean and well-maintained, some objects are very beautiful and interesting for me to capture.

However, there was one area that really caught my attention, namely the building or what could be called a unique chair that has two floors.

Please note, this is my second visit to this place, but on my first visit I did not have time to go up to the second floor from this chair, and on this occasion I did not want to waste that opportunity again, and that was the main area I visited. I went straight up to the second floor and from there I could see a wider view, of course it was very beautiful.

From above, I could not only see the charm of this tourist spot, because the expanse of the mountain was also clearly visible, coincidentally at that time the atmosphere was not too hot because it was already afternoon, so I could explore this place to the fullest. After being satisfied enjoying the beautiful scenery from above, I immediately decided to go down and explore the park area in more detail.

At that time I immediately walked towards the white monument area or what is often called the Gunongan monument.

This is the main object of this park, namely the Gunongan Monument. This monument looks different from other monuments, especially in terms of color, from bottom to top this monument only has one color, namely white, this uniqueness is what makes many tourists curious about this one monument, making it one of the popular tourist destinations in the city of Banda Aceh

In this park there are two main buildings, and another building that is shaped like a rectangle and until now I don't know much about its history, but some say that this is the tomb of one of the Sultans of Aceh, but that is just information that I got from several visitors there at that time.

From the front area, this monument looks very beautiful and magnificent, this is clearly visible when we approach it.

However, it is very unfortunate that on this visit I could only enjoy the uniqueness of this monument from the outside, because at that time the entrance to this monument was closed, but that did not make me curious because on my previous visit I had explored the area inside this monument.

This is a beautiful monument and has a romantic story in it, this is the sacrifice of the young Sultan Iskandar to make a beautiful garden just to entertain and make his wife happy, love is a sacrifice and this feeling of love can still be seen and felt when we visit this garden.

However, for the other monument, the door was always closed, so I was a bit embarrassed to ask the officer there.

And at that time suddenly there was a group of visitors who came using public transportation, and there were a lot of them, at that time I only had two choices, join the group or immediately leave the park area, after thinking for a moment I finally decided to immediately leave this park and choose to visit other tourist attractions.

Well, those are some pictures and stories from me in this post, I really hope that this post can provide entertainment for all of my friends. All of these pictures are purely my own, I took this picture using an Infinix 10 Pro cellphone and edited this picture using the Lightroom application.

See you again in my next post ♥️

How sweet it was for the Sultan to have this place built for his wife in order to ease her loneliness. It's a nice park and the tall trees provide shade to visitors walking around. There are some interesting structures within the park too. I love how the sky looks; the interaction of the blue with the white clouds. Beautiful day spent at this nice place!

This monument was built especially for his wife, and it is a very romantic history to read, I love studying history and this really amazes me.
