The journey around the tawar sea is very tiring, besides the long distance, the route taken is also one of the main obstacles, but even so I have managed to travel around the tawar sea four times (if I'm not mistaken), and the results of this trip always have a positive impact on me. On this trip I also managed to capture a quite touching moment that occurred in the city of Takengon, namely forest and land fires that caused very significant damage to nature, nature that initially looked fresh green, is now black and barren.
If I'm not mistaken, this incident happened a month ago, precisely in early June. Before going on this trip, I had received information about the incident from my social media, but at first I thought it was just a minor accident and I only realized it when I was already on this trip because I saw firsthand, the area that was burned was very large so that it managed to burn down half the mountain.
This is a tourist spot located on the edge of the freshwater sea that we wanted to visit at that time, our purpose in stopping by this place was only to rest and eat, but when I was about to enter this place I saw that the condition of this place very quiet, so I immediately discussed it with my partner, and finally we decided not to stop by that place and chose to look for another tourist spot.
Do you know what makes tawar sea the most popular tourist destination in Takengon city? Yes, because its beauty can be seen from any angle, whether from the side of the road, from the top of the mountain, basically the natural scenery offered by tawar sea is very beautiful.
And this is a natural view of a village that is right on the edge of the sea, and I captured this view from the side of the highway, but what about the residents here who can enjoy this beautiful view every day, maybe they are bored because they have seen it often, maybe yes, maybe not, but for someone who is visiting this place for the first time, they will definitely be amazed by the natural scenery that they can see, especially in the area of the tawar sea, just like my experience when I first traveled around the tawar sea, I was shocked and could not believe what I saw and could not believe that this was in Aceh Lol
After traveling for about 15 minutes, finally from a distance I could see a black and barren mountain caused by a fire, but I was still very far from that location, but I would definitely pass that road.
And to get there of course I had to pass through a village first, but the distance was not too far. Coincidentally at that time I also had time to stop by the village because I managed to find a food stall on the side of the road, I stopped there to rest and eat, but we didn't linger at the food stall, after eating and resting we immediately continued the journey. And finally...
Pay close attention to some of the pictures above, on the left side of the road we can see the condition of the land which is already black and barren, of course it was caused by a fire, the area that was burned was clearly very large, many lands belonging to residents were victims, and many animals lost their homes, but I don't know whether this fire was caused by a natural phenomenon or by human actions.
When I stopped at one of the food stalls in the village, I had time to ask about the fire incident, according to residents, the fire occurred at night, precisely at midnight, at that time no one knew about the fire, so when the fire had spread and was big, only then did the residents in the village find out, but it was too late because the fire had spread widely, and the residents also did not know the cause of the fire. And Mount Bur Birah Panyang is the mountain that was most affected by this fire, and made half the mountain barren
believe me, this used to be a mountain that looked very green and natural, now half of it has become black and barren, and this mountain is also one of the most beautiful views that we can see when we travel around tawar sea, and we can see this view directly from the highway.At first I didn't know the name of this mountain, so I also call this mountain the twin mountains.
