Good night to all my beloved hive friends ❤️

In this post, I would like to share an exciting experience and memorable moments from my trip to the top of Pantan Terong in Aceh Tengah. This is one of the oldest tourist destinations in the area, according to information I received from the staff there, this place was officially opened on August 17, 2002, which means it is now around 24 years old.
Successfully reaching this destination brought me a great sense of happiness and satisfaction, because to get to the top,we had to pass through a very challenging route with extremely steep roads.
The difficult road access became one of the reasons why this tourist destination was abandoned several times. In fact, I also visited this place back in 2023, and at that time it was already neglected, many buildings that were once beautiful and magnificent had become abandoned and damaged, and now, let us take a look at the changes that have taken place at this place.

At the top of Pantan Terong, we can find many food stalls, cafes, and other natural tourist destinations. The change that I immediately noticed was that there were already many new kiosks and food stalls along the roadside,of course, that is quite a good thing, considering this tourist destination is already quite old and needs a lot of support.

Many stalls and food vendors have been built along the roadside, and some of them are even located right on the edge of the cliff. There are so many people who decide to stop by these places to rest or enjoy a meal, what is even more amazing is that from this place, we can witness such breathtaking natural scenery.

This tourist destination is located on highland terrain, so even a little rain can create thick fog. Therefore, to enjoy beautiful natural scenery like this, we must check the weather conditions first. Many people also call this place “the land above the clouds,” because from the top we can see a sea of clouds quite clearly, however that view can only be enjoyed in the morning, and that is a very difficult time for me to reach this place.
The natural scenery here is still quite natural and well preserved, many areas are still filled with lush trees, and that is very good news. However, from this view we can also see that some parts of the mountains have experienced severe landslides, and that happened purely because of natural factors.
At that time, I had quite a lot of time, so I also took the opportunity to stop by a food stall to rest,I felt very happy because I was able to enjoy a cup of coffee while being accompanied by the beautiful natural scenery right in front of my eyes.

Puncak Al Kahfi is one of the most popular tourist destinations at the top of Pantan Terong. In this area, a viewpoint has been provided where visitors can enjoy the natural scenery clearly and to the fullest.

There are many abandoned buildings in this area, such as this building that I have managed to capture, if I'm not mistaken it used to be a cafe building, the building still looks abandoned and there are no signs of renovation.

The Viewpoint area is also very spacious and has two floors, that is good news because this place can accommodate many visitors. However, it is very unfortunate that the weather at that time was very hot and in this area there were very few places to take shelter except for a few trees on the side of the road. At that time there were a lot of visitors who came to this place and that is normal considering that yesterday was the Eid al-Adha holiday.
