FLOATING VILLAGE // Floating villages are a unique sight among tourists - It's about Location and Way of life

in Worldmappin21 days ago

Good night to all my beloved hive friends ♥️

The floating village on Kuala Langsa Street still makes me curious about the lives of the people there, and their daily activities which are probably 80% different from villages in general, the uniqueness of this village can immediately be seen from its location above the water surface which creates exotic views and life depends on the water, Because of my high curiosity I also returned to visit the village, I wanted to know how they live their daily lives, and this is a new experience and knowledge that is very interesting for us to learn.

When we are crossing the Kuala Langsa road, we will find this bridge, this is a bridge that connects the villages, when I was on this bridge, I didn't immediately cross it and preferred to see the view under this bridge.

Of course, what is under this bridge is a river, but that is not what makes this view interesting, the view of several houses that look dense becomes a very unique view because they are built above the water surface, when the tide is high, the water in the river will definitely overflow under the house, in my opinion this house was built about 2 meters above the ground

There are even some houses that are surrounded by rivers, in the front yard there is a river and behind the house there is also a river, it sounds quite strange but this is the reality that occurs in the floating village of Kuala Langsa, on the banks of the river we can also see lots of fishing boats parked there, and I am sure there are more boats being operated to catch fish.

With a high level of curiosity, I took the time to approach one of the residents' houses there,i also asked for permission to take some pictures showing the conditions around the housing complex, very few houses are built directly on the ground, most of the houses here are built 2 meters above the ground with the help of house pillars.

According to information from one of the residents in this village, he said that almost 90% of the residents here work as fishermen, some of them even do not have any plantation land at all because the conditions around their residence are all surrounded by water,it sounds impossible for them if they want to plant plants and vegetables in large quantities, but if they want to have land, they have to fill the land with soil first so that the water does not overflow there. fishing boats with different shapes and colorful paint are one of the beautiful views in this village.

In just 2 minutes, there were already more than five boats passing by on this river, this sight made me immediately think hard about how different the lives of the residents here are from those in other villages, imagine if they didn't go fishing for a day, maybe they would have to save so that their economy would remain stable.

What makes me very interested in this village is that its residents are very friendly, they are people who smile a lot, but it is important to remember that each place has different customs as well as its own prohibitions and taboos, we only need to respect whatever rights apply in that area, I am sure everything will be safe.

In this village, you'll also find numerous roadside rest stops selling fried foods, noodles, and fried rice. These stalls are also located right along the roadside, with amenities like small huts that can serve as shelter and rest areas.Even though I haven't explored this village 100%,but with what I've seen and the information I've gotten, I feel very satisfied, and this is about differences complementing each other.
