Good night to all my beloved hive friends ♥️
During my vacation to Takengon city, I may have seen and passed several times one of the tourist attractions that I think is highly recommended to visit, especially for tourists who want to know the history of each city they visit, but initially this tourist attraction was not so interesting for me to visit, but after thinking about it again, maybe I should visit it to find information or a little new insight about the place. And the tourist attraction is a cave that has a legendary story in Takengon city, is the story true or not? Let's discuss it thoroughly.
The location is very close to the city center of Takengon and it only takes about 10 or 15 minutes to get there, and what's unique is that this place is right above the tawar sea, so from this place we can also witness the charm of the sea. Many tourists visit this place with family or groups, and from the outside this place already looks very interesting so that tourists are curious about the conditions inside the cave.
Honestly I don't know anything about this place, and only heard about this place from social media, from outside the cave there is a fairly large yard so that it can be used as a parking lot for motorbikes and even cars, and when we want to enter this place we have to pay an entrance ticket first, one ticket is priced at IDR 5,000 in Indonesian currency per person or equivalent to 1 Hive for now, of course this is a very cheap price for an amazing place like this.
After buying the ticket I didn't go straight in because I took the time to ask a little about the history of this cave, and it turned out that the name Putri Pukes was taken from someone's name. A little story about the Putri Pukes cave, Putri Pukes herself was a daughter of a king who ruled in the Gayo land at that time, so at that time she was about to marry one of the princes in a neighboring city or now the place is called Bener Meriah, but while on the way to her husband's place, Putri Pukes received a mandate or message from her father to never look back no matter what happened, but while on the way to her husband's place suddenly heavy rain accompanied by lightning, so the group of Putri Pukes decided to take shelter in this cave, and while in the cave, Putri Pukes felt worried about the condition of her father and mother so she forgot the message from her father not to look back. After the rain stopped the group immediately left the cave, but when they arrived outside, the group immediately panicked when they found out that Putri Pukes was not there and they decided to go back into the cave and how surprised they were when they saw that Putri Pukes' body had turned to stone.
This is a legendary folk tale especially in the city of Takengon, whether you believe it or not, depends on your own principles. After getting a little information, I immediately decided to enter the cave.
Luckily, when I visited this place, there were not too many visitors so it was easy for me to explore. The entrance is also small so we have to bend down a little to get through the entrance, and once I arrived inside the cave, I was immediately amazed by the conditions inside.
In the first room we can only see some cave walls that look very amazing, in this area visitors often take pictures or capture moments, because it has a wide view of the cave. And in this cave there are also several officers who are ready to guide us and provide explanations about each object in this cave, so that we can ask about several things that might make us curious.
After seeing the main area, I immediately decided to head to the next area, but to get there we had to go down some stairs first.
In the next area we will immediately see a well that has a fairly large size and has a depth of 2 meters, and during my visit this time, the well was dry, and according to the information I got from the officers there, if this well suddenly produces water, then the water can be a medicine, when I heard every story about this place I did not deny or deny it, I just became a good listener and appreciated every legendary story
And beside this well we can also see a statue that at first glance looks like a human.
I didn't get any information about this statue, and I don't know if this is a statue of Princess Pukes or not, because at that time I didn't see any officers in the cave. And next to the well area we can also see a slightly uphill room but we can climb it by going through several steps, and in this area I had time to capture some of these moments by taking pictures with my friends
But in this area I did not find any objects in it except for a very small corridor right at the end of this area, because of my curiosity I immediately approached it and when I looked at the end of the corridor I would feel very scared because I saw an object that looked very much like a human head, but because of my high curiosity I peeked back into the corridor and it turned out that it was just a stone in the shape of a head and had been painted so that it looked very similar to a real head.
But suddenly one of the officers approached us and I immediately took the time to ask where the statue of Princess Pukes was, and he immediately took us to the area of the statue.
And this is the statue of Princess Pukes, according to the officer's confession, this statue used to have a shape that was very similar to a human, but over time the water droplets on the wall continued to drip onto this statue, making this statue crusty and enlarged, he also explained every detail from the head, hands to feet to me, hearing that I just agreed and occasionally paid closer attention.
After feeling satisfied looking at the conditions inside the cave, I decided to leave the cave immediately. However, on the way to the exit, I took a different path than before, but I still had to climb the stairs.
But before leaving this cave I managed to find an area that looked very amazing, and the place looked like a meditation place, and after asking the officer there it turned out to be true as I suspected, namely that this was a meditation place, and there used to be a man who was in this place to meditate there, but that's a bit extreme to explain here, so we just have to see and observe every detail of the uniqueness offered by this place.
I even went up to the top of the place to take some photos there, and after that I immediately left the cave area, and when I got outside I also took some more photos.
Well, those are some pictures and stories from me in this post, I really hope that this post can provide entertainment for all of my friends. All of these pictures are purely my own, I took this picture using an Infinix 10 Pro cellphone and edited this picture using the Lightroom application.
