Good night to all my beloved hive friends ♥️
In this post I will tell you about my experience when I found a unique village in Langsa city, this village is located in the coastal area of Kuala Langsa, but what makes this village look different from other villages is because this village was built on the surface of the water or more often called the floating village, the uniqueness of this village will be immediately visible when the tide is high because the houses in this village seem to be above the surface of the water, how exciting was my experience in this village? And what activities can I do in this village? This is what I will discuss thoroughly here
This is one of the monuments that we can find in the city of Langsa, this monument is called the Matang Seulimeng Intersection Monument which has now become a landmark and icon of the city of Langsa, this monument will greet every visitor who comes to the city of Langsa, with its unique shape making this monument also a beautiful sight in the middle of the city intersection.
The weather at that time looked very cloudy, making me a little hesitant to continue this journey, and my goal at that time was to visit the mangrove forest tourist destination in Kuala Langsa Village, because of confusion, I decided to rest for a moment at a stall not too far from this monument, after thinking long and hard I decided to continue this journey especially at that time I also brought rain gear such as a raincoat
On the way to the mangrove forest, I also managed to find a very unique village, the uniqueness of this village can be seen from the many houses built above the water surface.
Along this road we will be able to see views of houses built on the surface of the water, even these houses look like they are almost submerged in the water when the tide is high and that is what made me immediately take the initiative to capture this moment because I think it is very interesting, not only houses but also the mosque area, schools, stalls, shops, and markets are also built on the surface of the water
There are several things that still make me curious until now, namely the location of these houses is also built quite far from the highway, and if we want to enter the house area then we have to cross a small bridge first, what makes me very curious is where the residents here store their motorbikes, even from some of the houses that I saw it was not possible for them to bring cars into their houses, look at the picture below which shows how small the bridge leading into the house is.
Each house only has one bridge for access to the main road, the size of this bridge is small, even I myself am hesitant to cross this bridge using a motorbike, where do the residents here store their motorbikes?
Apart from motorbikes and cars, boats are also the only public and important means of transportation in this village, because almost all of the houses and infrastructure in this village are built above the water surface, this makes them have to be able to adapt to several different things, even according to local residents there are several houses that can only be accessed by boat.
Due to my high curiosity, I dared to approach a hut in this village, but beforehand I had also asked permission from the owner of the hut, from the view above we can see and conclude that almost 80% of the houses in this village do not have a yard, their yard is only as far as the surface of the water.
In addition, in this village we can also find a lot of mangrove trees that grow well and look like they surround this village. While exploring the hut, suddenly something undesirable happened, namely heavy rain fell suddenly which made me have to wait for the rain to stop first, because the rain that fell for quite a long time made me not have enough time to visit the mangrove forest again, and the rain only stopped when the sun was starting to set
After the rain stopped, I immediately decided to go home. There were still many things I was curious about about this village, but I didn't have time to research them at that time,i would return to this village another time.
