This morning, I had the joy of joining my clients on a cycling adventure through the charming village of Bongkasa, Bali. Our day started at 9:30 am at a quiet football field where we met our guide, Wayan Suparwa. After picking our bikes and putting on our helmets, we began our journey through the peaceful village roads, passing farms, rice terraces, and plantations filled with coffee, cacao, and banana trees.
During our ride, we stopped often to take photos and admire the local plants, like the fascinating cacao trees. One memorable stop took us to a lively village event celebrating their anniversary. Amidst laughter, my clients eagerly participated in a fun contest where they had to peel and feed bananas blindfolded—an experience that brought smiles to all, even though we didn't win.
Continuing our exploration, we visited a temple for some beautiful photos before navigating more village paths, including a few challenging hills that tested our strength. Wayan assured us our journey would last no more than two hours, ending with a refreshing break where coconut water awaited. Wayan expertly opened the coconuts, and we enjoyed the cool drink as we reflected on our cycling adventure.
With spirits lifted and coconut water enjoyed, we wrapped up our outing and headed to our next stop: a well-deserved lunch, reminiscing about the wonderful moments shared amidst the tranquil beauty of Bongkasa.
