RE: International Book Fair in the Morro Cabaña (Eng/Esp)

in Worldmappin4 days ago

The 9 p.m. cannon shot is heard very loud. It is a ceremony that many local people and tourists come to see. It allows us to go back to colonial times, because those who officiate the ceremony are dressed in the uniforms worn by the soldiers at that time. As a curious fact, the original time for the cannon shot was at 8 p.m. and not at 9 p.m. as we do now.
The coffee was delicious my friend, I recommend it!!!! Thank you very much for your comment.

Thanks for the wonderful description. I wish I could have such an incredible experience. I love learning about local traditions and history; your blog and your comment really brought it to life. The coffee sounds so interesting but .... I am miles and miles away.

Where are you from? I hope that if one day you come to visit Cuba you will be able to visit the Morro Cabaña complex, as well as other places of tourist interest that we have in the city.

I am from the Island of Mindanao, Philippines. I am eager to visit your place, especially Havana. Its rich history and the experience of hearing the canyon is worth visiting.

Ohhh how far away you live. I wish you could come and visit Cuba. It is a place rich in culture, history and traditions and a beautiful destination for sun and beach tourism.
