Barangay Linangkayan is one of the place in the Municipality of Naawan, Misamis Oriental. Most of the residents here are fishermen and set sail to the sea every afternoon until evening. This Barangay is quitely near from National road and it only takes a few minutes of traveling here. Lots of commercial establishments, Buildings, stores and even eateries can be seen and found here. The beach in this Barangay are filled with Sands and stones including corals. But not all of the place contains lots of stones.
Some of the place are covered with solid concrete, it will keep the soil intact and avoid of keeping eroded due to big waves. The big chunk of stones are properly well placed before adding a cement to make it durable and organized. Most of the place were they do constructing are the areas were big and rough waves splashing the place and it always happens every bad weather just like typhoons. There are few big trees grows here ans it also helps to hold the soil because of it roots. This beach contains lots of peebles and empty sea shells and this is a perfect place to find different kinds of sea shells for decorations.
Aside of a perfect spot for swimming and summer get away, this wide sea water areas are the best spot for fishing. According to the residents here, they go and set sail their small boats here in this area and begin casting their fishing nets. This will also developed into a fish sanctuary and the Local Government are now taking the plans. Aside of that, this place is also a perfect spot for sunset Gazing. Different kinds of small boats can also be seen and found here and it is very attractive because of its colors and design.
It also experienced low and high tide. Every lowtide the big coral stones will be showed up at the surface living a salt water animals like Fish, Sea shells and weeds. Crabs are also hiding in the hole and the residents trying their best to search and catch those Crabs. Weeds are also grows on the top of the stones, there are lots of sharp stones and it is not good to walk in the place in barefoot. Those big stones can give an attractiveness to the beach because of its forms, sizes, colors and for many years has pass this materials was been flashed away by big waves and ended it here.
Big cliffs are also in the place, this is not a man made cliff. It was been eroded by waves many years ago, the big rocks are rolled down from the top and ended at the Coast. This big stones are submerged by sea water every hightide. This areas is perfect for taking pictures in fact some of the people who visited here are fun to climb up on the top of the stones and taking selfies.
The sands here are made of particles called Margaha. This kind of particle is one of the materials used for making sharpening stones. There are lots of margaha here at the coast and not the entire place are covered with stones. There are some portion of the place that filled with sands. There are also parts of the place that are covered peebles and big stones. It is very attractive because of its colors and shapes. Every Summer season, there are lots of people loves to came here and take for a swim. The sea water is very clean and we can enhale the fresh air. That's all for today, have a safe travel everyone.
