At 10 AM, we reached Chandigarh, feeling refreshed from our restful journey. We decided to have a hearty breakfast at a nearby restaurant, where we enjoyed delicious food and took some time to freshen up.
With our stomachs full and spirits high, we were ready for the next leg of our journey. We had pre-booked a car for the scenic seven-hour drive to Dalhousie.
I love going on road trips because they are always the most enjoyable way to travel with family. They are filled with excitement, fun, food, and adventure, giving me an unreal experience. A road trip with your family will create lifelong memories.
Embarking on a road trip from Chandigarh to Dalhousie was an adventure filled with picturesque views and memorable experiences. The journey started on the plains up to Pathankot, making for a smooth and enjoyable ride. As we reached Pathankot, the landscape began to change, and the hills started their gradual ascent. This was when I began to feel a bit uneasy, with a slight dizziness and a sense of nausea. However, as we continued, I slowly adjusted, and soon enough, I could fully appreciate the breathtaking scenery around us.
The route was dotted with charming little villages, each more beautiful than the last. These quaint settlements added a unique charm to our journey, making the drive even more delightful. The panoramic views of the hills were simply stunning, and we couldn't help but stop frequently to capture the beauty with our cameras.
After about seven hours on the road, we finally reached Dalhousie and checked into our hotel. The view from the window was mesmerizing, instantly refreshing us from the fatigue of the journey. The sight of the hills and valleys bathed in the golden hue of the setting sun was a sight to behold.

After a rest, we decided to explore the local area. Our first stop was Gandhi Chowk, a busy and popular market area in this charming hill station. It is a vibrant place where locals and tourists alike gather to shop, dine, and enjoy the lively atmosphere. The market offers a variety of goods, from traditional handicrafts and souvenirs to trendy clothing and accessories. One of the main attractions of Gandhi Chowk is its diverse food scene, featuring an array of eateries serving everything from local Himachali delicacies to international cuisines. Street food vendors add to the charm, offering mouth-watering snacks like momos, chaat, and noodles, making Gandhi Chowk a must-visit for food lover exploring Dalhousie. And there was also a beautiful church in Gandhi Chowk.

From there, we moved on to Subhash Chowk, another popular spot. The views from Subhash Chowk were incredibly beautiful, and it was evident why so many people were busy clicking photos. We joined in, capturing our own memories of the stunning surroundings.
We also visited the nearby church, an architectural marvel that added a serene touch to our evening. As night fell, we headed back to our hotel for a delicious dinner, reminiscing about the day's adventures.
Back in our room, we talked about our plans for the next day while looking at the photos we had taken. Tired but happy, we finally fell asleep, excited for the adventures that awaited us in Dalhousie.
This road trip was not just about the destination but also about the journey. The transition from the plains of Chandigarh to the hills of Dalhousie was an experience in itself, filled with beautiful landscapes and unforgettable moments.
This trip was truly unforgettable, and Iβm thrilled to have shared it with you all.I will share my upcoming travel experience with you in my next post.
