Hello everyone, I hope you're well and enjoying yourself. I'm in a great mood. I'm trying to keep my energy up. That's why I'm spending time in places that are good for me. One of those places is the streams of Ordu.

There are streams in almost every part of Ordu. At least one of them flows into everyone's hazelnut orchard. Even during our midday breaks while harvesting hazelnuts, we dip our feet into the stream. It's a great relief from fatigue and provides a bit of a refreshing refreshment in the hot weather.

Yesterday was extremely humid and stifling due to the heat. We decided to go somewhere to cool off. First, we decided to swim in the sea. Then, thinking the sea would be too crowded, we decided to go to the river near our house.

We left home. We needed to buy something to eat. Since there were no markets where we were going, we stopped at the market first. We bought chicken and liver for grilling. After that, we stopped at another market for drinks. We finished at the market in 20 minutes. We continued on our way.

When we arrived at the river, the place we were supposed to stop was an abandoned mill and a waterfall. It was very crowded, and there was no place to park. So we gave up on picnicking. We went further upstream. Because the Black Sea is very steep, the river also has steep slopes. We were looking for a flatter spot. And after five or ten minutes, we found it.

It was flat, and the water wasn't too deep. Even the kids could easily get in. After settling in, we put our feet in the water. The water wasn't cold; it flowed coolly against our feet. The sight, along with the sound, was soothing.

While the meat was cooking, we enjoyed the water and the greenery. My cousin's child fell into the water, and the water overflowed. He was a little scared, but he got up and laughed. We breathed a sigh of relief. We sat in the water on chairs. It was so peaceful, sitting there. I thought I could do it for a few hours.

The meat was slowly cooking. Before dinner, we cast a fishing line into the water. We ate our fill and chatted for a bit. This activity really did me good.

Afterward, we spent some time in the water again. Since the river wasn't deep enough, we walked through it. The water was getting deeper in some places, so we trekked carefully. After a while, we came to where the fishing rods were. Having cast our lines in three different lakes, we continued walking until we reached the last one. As we walked, we came across a snake. This frightened me a bit and dampened my spirits. We pulled the rod in. Four fish were caught. We retrieved the fish. Because I was afraid, we got out of the water. It was getting dark now. It was time to go.

We stopped by the waterfall and mill we hadn't visited on our way back. There was a family there, and there was a parking space available. I'd been here before, but the road was very bad. Cars couldn't go very far. The road had been cleared, and cars could easily enter the road. So we went as far as possible.

The mill was powered by water. The river flowing next to it carried water to the mill, turning it. They carved a rock to create a waterway from the river. The working system seemed quite ingenious considering the resources available at the time. I didn't go inside the mill because it was dark. It looked a bit eerie. But from the outside, covered in greenery, it was quite beautiful.

We went to the waterfall right next to the mill. It was a beautiful sight. I wanted to keep admiring it. It was peaceful and quiet. After breathing in the beautiful air, we were walking back to the car to return home. As I approached the mill, I tripped on a piece of iron. My cousin told me it was made for tying donkeys to buy corn from the mill. Even this tiny detail had been meticulously planned.

It was time to bid farewell to this beautiful sight. The sky grew darker. We set off for home. It was hard to leave this landscape, where greenery, sun, and water created wonders. Ordu has many such sights. Every time I visit, I'm amazed again and again. If you ever find yourself in Ordu, I highly recommend stopping by one of its streams.
