This is a very special throwback story for me, the day I finally resigned from my job.
I will be honest, it wasn’t easy decision, I prayed about it so many times because, even though I was tired every day, I never thought I would actually leave that workplace. It felt heavy on my heart, but deep inside, I knew I was doing it for my daughter. She was growing so fast, and I wanted to be there for her.
My husband knew how much this decision meant to me. That’s why, when my resignation was final, he made sure the day wouldn’t feel sad. Instead, he turned it into a celebration. We even timed it with our daughter’s 7th monthsary, so it felt like double the blessing!
That night, I came home to a surprise dinner. And yes, there was lechon! My husband’s face was full of joy, and I could tell he was the happiest person that day. Seeing him so proud and supportive made me feel at peace with my decision.
What touched me even more was having both my parents and in-laws there Their presence reminded me that I wasn’t alone in this journey. They were happy for me, and that meant everything.
Resigning from a job I held for years was heavy, but this dinner turned my sadness into gratitude. It wasn’t just about leaving a job, it was about stepping into a new chapter of life, with my family cheering me on.
That night, I realized that when you choose what’s best for your family, it might feel scary at first, bit it leads to so much joy.
