Pront: Cabeza flexible
Muchas veces, cuando uno está haciendo reparaciones de autos, plomearía y en algunas remodelaciones, uno se consigue con situaciones donde se necesitan piezas y refacciones que poseen una cabeza flexible, para poder ejecutar su trabajo. Y cuando uno las ve por primera vez, hay veces que no entiende su diseño, sino hasta el momento de verlas en funcionamiento.
Eso me pasó, la primera vez que intenté montar un muñón delantero en el primer carro que compré, que era un Doge Dart del año de 1975. Y ese auto, aunque compré en los años 90, estaba en muy buenas condiciones. Parecía un carro nuevo, y de verdad era un carro perfecto, que para mí solo tenía dos defectos: el primero era que tenía discos de tambor, y el segundo, es que su tren delantero era muy frágil.
Y debido a lo frágil que era el tren delantero, cada vez que uno se descuidaba y caía en un hueco, o pasaba por un policía acostado con rapidez, y el auto terminaba dando grandes brincos, era muy común que se dañaran los muñones. Y llegó un momento, en que me cansé de estar pagando a los mecánicos constantemente.
Así, que decidí hacer el papel de mecánico, y hay vi, la razón por la cual, el tren delantero era tan débil, y era, que el cuello de la cabeza flexible del muñón pequeño era muy delgado, y tendía a quebrarse, en los movimientos fuertes y bruscos que ocasionaba la caída en los huecos, los frenazos fuertes, y ese tipo de situaciones comunes que se le presentan al conductor.
Y ante esta realidad, decidí resolver el problema de una buena vez de manera permanente, así que lo que hice, fue adaptarle al Doge, frenos de disco y también le adapté un tren delantero, del Nova 79, y santo remedio, se acabaron con esos dos cambios los problemas mecánicos frecuentes, debido, al cuello de la cabeza flexible del muñón original.

Many times, when one is doing car repairs, plumbing and in some remodeling, one gets with situations where parts and spare parts are needed that have a flexible head, in order to execute their work. And when one sees them for the first time, there are times that he does not understand their design, but until the moment of seeing them in operation.
That happened to me, the first time I tried to mount a front stump on the first car I bought, which was a 1975 Doge Dart. And that car, although I bought in the 90s, was in very good condition. It looked like a new car, and it really was a perfect car, which for me had only two defects: the first was that it had drum discs, and the second, is that its front train was very fragile.
And because of how fragile the front axle was, every time one got careless and fell into a gap, or passed a policeman lying down quickly, and the car ended up giving big jumps, it was very common for the stumps to be damaged. And there came a time, when I got tired of constantly paying the mechanics.
So, I decided to play the role of mechanic, and there I saw, the reason why, the front axle was so weak, and it was, that the neck of the flexible head of the small stump was very thin, and it tended to break, in the strong and sudden movements caused by falling into the gaps, strong braking, and that kind of common situations that occur to the driver.
And faced with this reality, I decided to solve the problem once and for all permanently, so what I did was to adapt it to the Doge, disc brakes and I also adapted a front axle, from the Nova 79, and santo remedio, the frequent mechanical problems were over with those two changes, due to the neck of the flexible head of the original stump.
