Good day friends! I feel happy having the opportunity to share my writing on today's prompt with everyone.
Theme: dependence
Last week, I visited Hulk, a friend of mine who's Dad is a doctor. We did a lot of home activities and later proceeded to play some video games. While still playing the game, Hulk’s Dad returned from work. The skin over his face was pale, red eyes and all I could see was fatigue and I needed to take a deep sleep.
But Hulk's Dad amazed me. I was expecting him to just walk in, we'd greet him and he'd go in to shower, eat and have some rest. But he just sat by the sitting room and after some time, he called Hulk and I, and began to gist us how his day went and at same time gave us some life advice.
He told us that to become a doctor, one has to persevere, study hard and all of that and after graduating and getting the job, it's still not an easy job to do. He told us of how most young and adult individuals were often brought to the hospital because of complications caused by alcohol dependence. Some of them receive advice but their addiction is too strong.
He went ahead to tell us that people who recover the faster and sometimes leave alcohol are those whose livelihood is a direct dependence on their parents and family because their family set rules to keep them away from alcohol. But for those who live alone and cater for themselves, they may complicate their condition by going back to alcohol and refusing to take alcoholism drugs.
Thanks for reading.
