The "Heart" Reaction During Laughter

in Freewriters6 months ago

Strong laughter creates a series of physical reactions that boost heart circulation. When a person laughs deeply, the diaphragm moves forcefully and increases pressure inside the chest. This rhythmic pressure helps pump blood through the large veins that return blood to the heart. As more blood reaches the heart, the organ expands slightly and pumps a larger volume with each beat.

Laughter also activates the muscles of the chest and abdomen. These muscles contract and relax in pulses, squeezing nearby vessels and encouraging blood to move more efficiently. This mechanical support improves the flow of oxygen rich blood through the heart and lungs.

The emotional aspect of laughter reduces stress signals and allows the blood vessels to widen. This widening lowers resistance and helps the heart push blood forward with less effort. At the same time, breathing becomes deeper, which increases oxygen levels in the blood. The combined effects create a natural boost in circulation and support heart health.

It is therefore advisable laugh more than frowning or being sad. Being sad does the otherwise to your body system. And well, I can say "Being happy is a great key to healthy living". It aids longevity. Kuddos to the great you!...
