Max took the cow back to the ranch and kept it in its pen. The next morning, he came out to observe the state of its leg that was submerged in the swamp. He saw that it requires an urgent attention. The cow was actually limping. Max wasted no time to invite the veterinary doctor to have a look at it.
By noon, he saw a big difference from its movement. The drugs worked. He was very pleased with the improvement. But he forgot to close down the hedges where the cow broke through. Beyond his ranch was a grassland partly covered with grasses. That was indeed an invitation to treat!
Once the cows and even sheep were let out in the open but within the ranch to roam about, they tend to have the tendency of sighting the lush greeny swamp. The grasses there are enticing really. And like those under the attack of the wobbles they broke through the weak and partially closed hedges and rushed to the green swampy area. Majority got stuck there with most sheep already submerged.
Their deep groans drew the attention of Max and his farm attendants. They rushed towards that direction and lo, more than twenty animals have been entrapped. That's more job for them.
