When Joel set out to visit his uncle in the hinterlands he never knew that it will turn out to be a very difficult task. He woke up quite early that fateful morning, packaged his bags and took a few personal items, then head straight to the bus terminal. By 8:00 AM The bus was still not filled up. Joel strolled in and paid the fare. He took his seat close to tht driver so as to observe every bit of the journey. It took virtually two hours for tht bus to be full. Finally the journey took off. Within forty five minutes the bus had left the city centre and headed towards the woods. Joel saw firsthand some wild animals crossing the roads with ease.
But soon the road network started deteriorating with dangerous potholes juggling both the driver and passengers up and down. Joel knows at that point that he'll definitely have some back aches when he alightes from the bus. At that point he prayed for the bus not to break down, if that happens that will be the worst as there are not mechanic shops in sight to help fix any breakdown.
The clouds started gathering and little drops of water could be heard splashing on the roof and windscreen. Joel reckons that this is a very bad sign. The murky and bumpy road began to turn mud. A slip by the driver threw the bus into a ditch. They got stock for hours. All the male passengers came down to push the bus. Joel joined but he knows that the worst had happened.
