For three weeks running, the defending champions had lost four matches in a row. One was a cup game which they got to the finals and agonizingly lost on penalties. This time they've crashed out at the knockout stage. Even in the league they are not doing well either. Their continuous defeat made the board to wield the big stick on the coaching staff, replacing them with a relatively unknown coach who came with about three backroom staff.
Their next game was against the present league leaders. That was a strong test for the new coach and his team and at the end of the day they came out tops, crushing the league leaders by three goals to nothing. Up next was a home game, the first for the new coach. He also wasted no time to brush aside their opponent by a 2-0 scoreline. The joke fans became happy as a lot changed with their team. Their style of play and the urgency to bang in goals have heightened, unlike what used to be.
It was indeed a new dawn for the reguvernated champions. Their next games were also swept aside, as if it were an easy wins for them. Gradually, they started climbing back to the summit of the table.
