I see a red rose flower covered with some fading morning dew and attached to the stem. Beside it is another stem that was once occupied by another rose flower which has unfortunately withered away or tampered by other forces of nature. I feel that the red rose flower is surviving despite the harsh weather conditions prevalent at that time.
Here is my Poem
I am a Queen
Well seated among others
And attracts much aura
Which my mates find hard to get
I stand tall and elegant
I shine, sparkle and glow
Like the bright morning star
With a sweet smelling scent
The scents I exude with caution
My mates simply flatters theirs
And attract undue attention to themselves
Both from men and nature alike
So they don't survive
Beyond their first morning bloom
As wondering eyes and hands
Are unnecessarily drawn to them
I have learnt from the past
And it helps me guide my future
I shine bright when need be
And conserve.y beauty when not necessary
But my mates are unabashed
As wondering hands plug them away
To perceive their sweet smells
Or a gift for signs of love
But me I shelve myself
From their wondering eyes and hands
I bloom when necessary
And gloom when need be
That way, I've been able to survive
Even under this harsh winter weather
Now men can't see me
To pluck for love
But the winter weather is harsh on me
And I need to regain my charm
So as to remain relevant
While I await the lucky one
Who will pluck me
And present to his love
With my enchanted beauty
He will get his wish
So I spread my petals
To be caressed by the beauty
Of the winter morning dew
I hope he won't be
Passing by today and pluck me up
So as to live for another day
As I still want to stay around
And enjoy the beauty around me.
Adios!!!
