Below is my first design depicting the Psychedelic theme.
The design is titled Out Of the Box Thinker, or Psychedelic Contemplation Gone Up In Smoke. I created a still version, then converted it into a video with fire, smoke, and flames. I can see that the man truly doesn't know which way is up. He's lit up on all ends.
Visualizing the theme transported me back to the late '60s through mid '70s. Rock and Roll, Punk, and Rhythm and Blues vibes reigned supreme, thus topping the billboard charts. Carrying over from the '60s, smoking marijuana and "getting high" with friends was a favorite past time for the young adults and not-so-young. However, the music scene was electrifying.
When I think of fun songs and performers whose outfits matched and often outshined their talent, I envision the ultimate group, The Mothership. Perfect for the Alien Art Hive theme this month. The energy from those groups embodied the funkadelic vibe in their lyrics and dance routines.
When I reminisce about the 70s, one staple comes to mind. SOUL TRAIN. Any up-and-coming musical group would appear on this entertainment show. Even seasoned solo artists and band groups w
I'd love to share with you a favorite tune that was popular during the '70s. It's the theme song of the move with the same title "Which Way Is Up" that starred the late comedian who turned actor, Richard Pryor.

First, with Canva, I was able to blend the images into the scene. However, then I applied the cigar, the image was too large to fit the man's mouth, so with the drawing tool, I tailored the bit end with the eraser to look more normal utilizing the stable diffusion images I retrieved from StarryAI and two free-sourced images. I think the clouds used as smoke and the torch setting fire to the cigar and causing havoc creates the laughable moment that is embedded in psychedelic.

From the still version, I retrieved a video from Deep Dream Generator that depicted a hilarious psychedelic theme with the smoke from the torch igniting and backfiring I feel, blowing out smoke in the man's ears. I was thoroughly pleased with how Deep Dream Generator handled my request from a simple prompt with the RUNWAY Video Model:
"Torch burning steadily to light cigar."
