They can also convert the extra HBD to HIVE, then burn the resulting HIVE (after waiting for 3.5 days) to help control the HIVE token inflation. π€π§ββοΈπ₯ππ€
Well, since it would be equivalent amounts, using HBD to buy HIVE, and then burning the HIVE, would not deal with the orginal HBD. It's far better to convert the HBD to HIVE, thus destroying the HBD, and then burning the HIVE on top of that. πππβ¨π€

I forgot about that. π€π€― The HBD from the buyer will just go to the seller !INDEED. π€―π€―
I just edited my previous comment to make it more accurate (or less inaccurate). π€π

I figured, and you got it.
I see that, the only thing about that is that it now makes my reply a tad redundant. πππβ¨π€

Generally, the best way to reduce or even reverse the further reduction in the price of the HIVE token is to buy more of it, though that seems unlikely (!HOPEfully not for long) !INDEED. π€π§ββοΈπΈπ€―π€

More needs to be bought and staked than unstaked and sold, which is not presently the case. πππβ¨π€

It's still !WEIRD to think that while some people on Hive really need to withdraw their HIVE tokens (usually because of heavy financial needs) at the token's present prices, (much) more HIVE tokens are still being sold than bought. π€πΈπ€―π€

Exactly. I'm really hoping that things can be turned around, and post haste. πππβ¨π€

I think that when the problem with the (very low) price of the HIVE token is solved, the problem with the high HBD to HIVE ratio would naturally get solved too. π§ββοΈπ€
