Feliz noche amigos de @hivemargarita desde que ví la iniciativa que tienen de un lugar favorito en la isla dije que quería participar. Pero por diversas razones no había podido participar pero el jueves luego de salir del médico con mi mamá fuimos a unos de mis lugares favoritos y es el Valle del espíritu santo, amo ir a esta iglesia y es que nos solo es la iglesia es el ver a todos los vendedores que hay, la comida y este es uno de los lugares que más me llena de paz. Sin tener una fecha en específico me gusta ir y este día en especial fuimos a dar gracias por la salud de mi mamá y tome unas fotos que amo compartir en esta comunidad.
Happy evening, friends of @hivemargarita, ever since I saw your initiative for a favorite place on the island, I said I wanted to participate. However, for various reasons I hadn't been able to participate, but on Thursday, after leaving the doctor's with my mom, we went to one of my favorite places, the Valley of the Holy Spirit. I love going to this church, and it's not just the church, it's seeing all the vendors, the food, and this is one of the places that fills me with the most peace. Without having a specific date, I like to go, and on this particular day, we went to give thanks for my mom's health, and I took some photos that I love to share with this community.**
Al llegar al Valle lo primero que hicimos fue a acompañar a una de mis tias que estaba en buscar de un sombrero ya que se acercan las festividades de la virgen Del Valle y ella quiere ir. En una de estas tiendas por supuesto había imágenes de la virgen, muchos sombreros y llaveros que son ideales para llevar como recuerdos.
Upon arriving in the Valley, the first thing we did was go with one of my aunts, who was looking for a hat since the Virgin of the Valley festivities were approaching, and she wanted to go. In one of these shops, of course, there were images of the Virgin, many hats, and keychains that are ideal to take home as souvenirs.
Luego estuvimos caminando un poco por algunos de los puestos que venden bisutería, virgenes y de todo un poco. Muchas veces asi no vayamos a comprar nada es muy lindo ir viendo todo lo que hay. Yo desde que comencé a caminar estuve viendo algunas pulceras quería comprar unas. También estuvimos viendo las franelas en honor a la Virgen Del Valle. Es maravilloso para mí ir siempre a este lugar donde se siente una vibra tan bonita y hay tanta devoción. Creo que este lugar es muy bonito pero ahora que se acercan las fiestas se siente mucho más especial.
Then we walked around some of the stalls selling jewelry, Virgin Mary statues, and a little bit of everything. Often, even if we don't go shopping, it's still a lovely thing to see everything there is. Ever since I started walking, I've been looking at some bracelets and wanted to buy some. We also looked at the t-shirts in honor of the Virgin of the Valley. It's wonderful for me to always go to this place where you feel such a beautiful vibe and there's so much devotion. I think this place is very beautiful, but now that the holidays are approaching, it feels even more special.
Algo que me parece muy lindo es que en uno de los puestos me regalaron unas velas y me prestaron un yesquero para prender las velas y en otro puesto me regalaron una pulcera con una pequeña virgen. Esto es algo que hacen con las personas que visitan este lugar.
Something I find really nice is that at one of the stalls, they gave me some candles and lent me a lighter to light them, and at another stall, they gave me a bracelet with a small Virgin on it. This is something they do for the people who visit this place.
Por supuesto camine hasta el lugar donde se colocan las velas, mi tía se quedó sentada en una banca con mi mamá para no hacerla caminar tanto.
Of course I walked to the place where the candles are placed, my aunt sat on a bench with my mom so as not to make her walk so much.
Luego tome algunas fotos de la basílica menor de nuestra señora del valle, que siento quedaron muy lindas. Está lugar tiene algo que no se explicar pero es de mis lugares favoritos en la isla. Recuerdo que cuando estudiaba en la universidad me quedaba tan cerca y me iba a este lugar solamente a comprar empanadas, está fue una parte que se me olvidó tomar fotos donde venden empanadas que son deliciosas.
Then I took some photos of the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Valley, which I think turned out very beautiful. There's something about this place that I can't explain, but it's one of my favorite places on the island. I remember when I was a student at university, staying so close, and I would go there just to buy empanadas. This was one part where I forgot to take photos, where they sell empanadas, which are delicious.
Algo que me pareció muy lindo fue comprar estás rosas y llevarlas como ofrenda, este día ya la mayoría de las puertas de la iglesia estaban cerradas. Y las fotos quedaron un poco oscuras pero luego volveré y tomaré unas fotos más lindas que compartiré con ustedes.
Something I thought was really nice was buying these roses and bringing them as an offering. That day, most of the church doors were already closed. The photos turned out a bit dark, but I'll come back and take some more beautiful photos to share with you.
Por supuesto aproveche de tomarme una foto con mi mamá, luego de días tan difíciles fue lindo ir a este lugar con ella.
Of course I took the opportunity to take a photo with my mom. After such difficult days, it was nice to go to this place with her.
