Wednesday Walk: "A quick trip to Lakeview Park"!

Hello Friends, and thank you for your visit!

It is #wednesdaywalk #18 of 2026, the first one of May this year! And so I had an idea to return to Lakeview Park and see how things are and if all the rain we have had lately had brought up the water level.

Well, something unbelievable happened as soon as I got out of the vehicle - but I will save that for last, but it "did" cut my visit short!

So, after a minute I saw this group of Ducks and Pigeons on the grass,

And a little closer,

And this female "Goose" with a duck,

Over at the Pond I caught a group of Turtles trying to get some Sun,

And you can see that the rain did not do much...
Next I caught this Pigeon hopping around,

And I saw these two Ducks under some branches,

And then this one hiding under some branches. It's pretty different and is called a Muscovy duck, known for it's red "caruncles",

I also passed by some "Palo Verde" walking around as well,

Well on my way back through the brush I found some what I guess is "feral Chickens"!

Look at these birds! These are about some of the Healthiest Roosters I have ever seen and "big"!

And so.. The incident! I will have to go back to the beginning...
So, I got out of the GMC and stood there a moment. Then I started to walk and - "BAM"!
This guy ran right up to me and bit me in the leg!

I was shocked, surprised all of it! I have seen this bird before and he had always been friendly!
And then the female Goose waddled away - and in my opinion was a little happy about it,
