It's Not Gonna Rain

in Wednesday Walk16 hours ago

This is a post to go with #WednesdayWalk challenge by @tattoodjay.

Well, it's Wednesday again, and I'm ready to tell you about my walk.
I go for a walk almost everyday, usually in the morning, but sometimes in the evening. Or it happens in the morning and evening. But only if my job doesn't interfere with it.

This morning my son went for a walk with me. I was even surprised that he managed to wake up. I suggested it to him last night, but he wasn't sure if he would be able to wake up at 6 a.m. He was ready for a walk at 6:30. I rarely see my son because he lives far away. He came to visit for only 10 days, and to take his daughter Alice home to the North. Alice has been staying with us all summer, but she has to go to school on September 1st.
It was foggy this morning and I took my son along the route so that he could see the surroundings in the fog from the mountain.

I thought we'd have a walk together last night, but my son was busy shopping for clothes for his daughter. So I went for a walk with just my dog and went to the lime quarry.
As I approached the quarry, I saw a black cloud coming from the west. I couldn't see her before because I was climbing a mountain and walking through a forest.
Just before entering the quarry, a motorcyclist overtook me.

From somewhere above, 3 more motorcyclists came down and I decided that they would ride around the quarry and I would see something interesting.

But nothing interesting happened.
The interesting thing was far away. I didn't let the black cloud and the setting Sun out of my sight.

It was interesting and fun. It's raining somewhere far away, but we don't have it and we shouldn't have it. I know the weather forecast.

The guys with the motorcycles weren't doing anything interesting, they were just standing there. So I told my dog that it was time to go home. And... I didn't go straight home, but towards the cloud.

I was in no hurry to go home, I assumed that I would walk for another 30 minutes. My way back was through the forest again and I couldn't see the sky.

I came out of the forest and almost immediately saw that a black cloud had mixed with a red sunset. It looks very cool, but our mountain prevents a full view.

I took this photo and went home. I need to close the greenhouse and feed the dog. It's not going to rain, is it? But... When I was giving food to the dog, it started raining from the sky. The dog ran from the bowl of food to hide in the kennel, but returned back to the bowl, and then ran back to the kennel. I took the bowl and put it in the kennel, and I ran into the house. But I was already raw.
Yes, I didn't make it in literally 2 minutes.

Friends, goodbye! Until the next walk.

Well. Have all my friends, observers, and readers, wonderful walks on Wednesdays. And also on Sundays and any other day!
