Hello friends!
Happy #aliveandthriving Saturday evening to you!
β¨ππ»ββοΈβ¨
And thank you for your visit!
So on Friday while I was out running a few errands I had the urge to drive by the old "American Diabetes" building and take a look. I used to work in there for them writing programs, collecting data, and finally migrating their whole setup "DOS" to Windows. At a later date to Linux as well. In the beginning it was great, somewhere along theine they decided to get rid of all the "long hairs" as we were not fitting to the image...
In any case, that's another story! Here's the building across a small field, to the left is a Drone School?

While looking at the building a woman rolls up pretty close gets out of her car and points her phone towards the Post Office. I took a look in that direction and saw this,

Firemen coming from nowhere running towards a smoking Jeep (2023 Wrangler). Then the Flames started,

So then while the one starts un-raveling the hose the other two discuss what to do next - meanwhile the Jeep is burning! No sense of urgency whatsoever!

Now all three talk about it and the Flames are getting pretty high!

And as you can see, it's "business as usual"! No blocking off streets, no closing the Post Office drive, nothing!?!?

Finally the pop the hood and spray down the engine,

And another car just pulls in, and their leader I guess look on from a safe distance!

I want to tell you, I posted this for two reasons - and "Yes" I feel very sorry for the Jeep owners who watched it from the Post Office...
#1. There are a lot of Jeeps here - lots. Since you can drive on the beach they are a go-to vehicle, and... They have a lot of "these" kinds of problems.
#2. The Non-Chalance of the Fire Dept. was, for me "Unbelievable"! If you think about the fact it could explode - and look at this, it's like it's their third Jeep fire that day!
Troubling....
And now back to the American Diabetes Association Building. Although I did not get the back and sides, I guess I will leave it for another day - but it's very interesting as it goes back to a point, it's not square - it's a triangle. And this is another look at the front,

And up their above the doors was my office! The good old days!
And that was my unexpected #aliveandthriving Friday, and at least nobody got hurt!
I want to thank you again for your visit and I am Wishing you a Very Blessed, Happy, and Safe Sunday and New-Week!
