The TV show I was watching gets interrupted by a weather warning. There is a large, strong thunderstorm moving into the area. I can see the storm coming in the distance from the west.
One of the good things about living on the top of a hill looking down into the river valley is that you can normally see the storms that may be developing and coming your way.

Hello friends! Hamish and I had a good morning and took a walk to the post office together. That's his longest walk yet - two miles, about 3 1/4 km - and he did really well. He had a break in the middle with a little drink of water while I was mailing my package, but he was so interested in smelling all the new smells, he didn't really stop otherwise. I'm slowly figuring out where his limit is, since it takes more energy hopping on one leg in the back (if you haven't seen my other posts about my new dog Hamish, he's a tripod - he's missing his back right leg). Previously we had gone maybe a little over a mile, and he wanted a break near the end of that, but he did really well with a break at the mile mark this time and then going for another mile.

Yesterday started on a high note as I kicked off my day with a refreshing run. The weather has been remarkably pleasant lately, with lesser and lesser cold breezes and more clear skies. I love how running allows me to clear my mind and refocus.

I'm here to share my experience on garri making.
Yesterday my friend who's also my Pastor's wife requested my assistance to fry garri.
She'd already done the harvesting of cassava, peeling, grinding and pressing to dry.
I came into the picture in seiving it to separate the main flour from the chaff.
Unfortunately I didn't go there with my phone to have gotten the picture of seiving but I'm glad I remembered to ask her to snap me while I was frying.
