I don't know if the name "charity" has been changed to something else, or maybe it's that female who is bearing charity, now known as the mean charity, because, with the world today, the term "charity" is turning into something entirely different.
People donate to charity foundations just so they can be noticed. They get their cameras on set, get their crew and microphones working, and then start the recording process, like everything is being scripted. What happened to the genuine kind of giving when your heart moves you to give, and nobody has noticed it? What happened to that part of the scripture that said "do not let your left hand know what the right hand is doing"? I don't know if I'm getting it correct, though. "Bear with me".
Little story: a few days back, I was busy with my phone scrolling through feeds online when I came across something where our content creators and top celebrities were hosting an inter-house sport where they grouped themselves into different groups and were competing against each other. Well, at first I didn't know a prize was attached till the moment they announced the winners, then I realized there was prize money attached to it.
And you might be wondering what that prize is, well, the group that comes out in first place will be given some money, and that money will be given to charity. Like any charity foundation that the group that came out first chooses. Now that is not the problem I'm having. The major issue right now is that the inter-house sport was conducted some weeks ago, if it's not up to a month, and I'm yet to see anything about that group going to the charity foundation of their choice on the internet.
Since the inter-house sport was done online and the prize was announced online, I feel like the handing over of the money process to the charity foundation should be made public as well. Since everyone wants to record the good they are doing for others and wants the whole world to acknowledge them for their good acts.
I haven't really made any donation before on my own, though, but then on my sister's birthday this year. She decided she was going to give to the orphanage home, hearing that and seeing how thoughtful it is for her to think of something like that. I decided I was gonna support so I did. On the day of her birthday, she went to the local market and got some things for the children.
I feel like in a country like mine. If you want to get things and get them right, you have to do it yourself because even the next person that you trust with all your heart is likely not to get it done for you. I know how people would plan to get a thing done, and later on, there will be one Judah in the group who is likely to destroy the entire plan or even run away with the funds "just get it done yourself".
Thanks for reading 🧡
