This is my entry to the Hive Learners weekly contest.
The mistake made by people is one thing that is not always defined very well. Work is work and should always not be mixed with pleasure. This is what always causes misplacing things in different areas. Work should strictly be work and work-related and other things that are related to it.
We should always maintain the relationship with our fellow human beings in different ways that would define it and set its standards.
There should be boundaries in the digital space protecting your mental health and privacy. Limitations should always be made by us all. It would help maintain our sanity in life. We all have our privacy, and it should always not be intruded on by people. Friends should have their limits in our private lives; bosses also, in which we might be working for, should always set boundaries; as much as they might be in our space online, they should know when to act and at which time in which they really are supposed to act.
In interactions also with others, they should know when to put a stop to that in which they are doing. We all have to look out for our mental health, and people around us should also help us all.
There might also be red flags in digital relationships. Red flags include those in which we might see signs that there are errors or the relationship is indeed not working the way it seems to be. It should be looked into and tried to be corrected, but when it seems not to be working, one can really walk away. There are toxic signs that we would see online, and we should always handle them carefully. Like in an example where there might be constant teasing in an unnecessary way, one can decide to take a break from the chat. Taking a break doesn't necessarily mean you both are having issues, but just putting a stop and starting back after a while can start it back.
Maintaining Professionalism in Remote Work Relationships. This is a great one. Professionalism should always be at the tips of our minds at work. Yes, we and our employees might have a cordial relationship, but professionalism should be made the tip of everything. It is a great way to help in the smooth running of the business.
We should work greatly on balancing friendliness and professionalism in virtual workplaces. This balance is one we should not try to allow anyone to try slacking down in any way.
We should try to use social media wisely. Stay connected without losing yourself. Wisdom is profitable and should be applied to everything we do in life. There are benefits of social media in relationships with one another, and there might also be pitfalls; we should always try to know how to handle each of them.
Business is business, so however, in all, we should know how to balance things.
We keep hoping for the best. 🙏
