Appreciating people who have done one thing or the other for me is one thing I’ve taught myself to do. I met a lot of people this year and I’m grateful to Jah for the people who came into my life. In this appreciation post, the first set of people I’d love to give thanks to are my family members. Aside from the fact that family comes first, they amazed me this year especially when I was going through a crazy health issue. That’s how united we are in my family and I’m grateful to Jah for unity, the love they’ve got for me and also how they take care of me. Indeed, family is everything if I come to the world again, I’d choose my family over and over again.
Secondly, I’d love to appreciate my boss at work. When we resumed a new term, I was told that I’d be working with a different person and I was wondering if the person will be an angel or otherwise. When I met her, I was extremely happy and she’s even better than my former boss. She gifts me so many things and aside from that, she makes sure that she drives me back to my lodge everyday. Transportation is now very expensive in Nigeria and if you have anyone who rides you for free, we should appreciate them. Normally, I’m not the type who wishes people a happy new year but this year, I had to wish her a happy new year because she tried for me and saved me from spending too much money on transportation.
Furthermore, I’d love to say a big thank you to my aunt. When I began my youth service and I was posted to my workplace, I didn’t have a place to stay so I was staying with her for a while before I got my place. I lived with her for a month and during my stay, she never made me feel bad. She feeds me and provided me with the basic things I needed.
Also, I’d love to give thanks to everyone who has made me smile. I’ve got a few people who put a smile on my face this year. Honestly, it was a rough one but having people who make me smile makes me feel happy and I usually appreciate them. I’m glad I’ve got people like that around me.
I’d also love to thank those who taught me lessons. I learnt lessons from people this year even though it was through the hard way and made me cry but also made me stronger. I’m glad and also grateful.
Lastly, I want say a big thank you to my friends on Hive. I’ve made so many friends here and it is not even about having each other’s digits but the way we relate here. I’ve had deep talks with people on here and they even helped me with solutions so I’m grateful. Some people also boost my articles without my knowledge and it makes me surprised. I’m grateful to you all too. I’ve got some who upvote every of my comments and I must say a big thank you to everyone of you.
