Everyone loves something new including the New Year’s Day. That’s why we see so many people hyping and celebrating the New Year’s Day even though they don’t really celebrate other things.
Also, it feels so good to be able to complete 365/366 days healthy and alive. We started the new year with some people but unfortunately, some people could not get to the end of the year so that’s enough to make us happy and celebrate the new year.
For the New Year celebration, we see so many people go out with their family members or friends to have fun just like I do with my family members every year.
The New Year started by 12:00 am and by then, I was praying and also thanking God for making me see through 2023. I’m a loner so I didn’t have so many people to wish a happy New Year so I wished my boss a happy New Year and also my close friends and slept till morning.
I was invited by my friend to his house but I was feeling reluctant to go because of the distance so I was at home till 3:00 pm until my little brother begged me to take him out.
I brought out my make up bag so I could wear a little make up on my face. I don’t get to do that all the time but it feels so good and makes me feel bold. I finished the make up in thirty minutes and here is it.
We didn’t want to go far from home so we went to Chicken Republic and I got him Chicken and Chips. I think he likes that a lot because he tends to eat it every now and then. While he was eating it, I noticed he enjoyed it so I took a few pictures of him when he was eating but here is one of them.
I wonder why he gave that kind of funny look. I guess he was surprised because I ordered two chickens for only him, lol.
When we were done, we had to wait for my dad to come pick us. We are daddy’s kids and since he promised to come pick us, we waited an hour for him to come pick us. I enjoyed my time at Chicken Republic because the AC was cold and there were not much people there so I had time to gist with my little brother and also had enough time to engage with people on Hive. Well, the chicken and chips I had was not enough but buying another one will be quite expensive.
My dad arrived and we went to Spar to get a few things for the house. My dad gets a voucher at the end of each year so we usually take it to places like Justrite, Spar, Shoprite and so on but this time, we went to Spar and I had to buy a few things for myself including the things I needed at my hostel. I also took a few pictures of my little brother and myself.
That was how I spent my New Year’s holiday and it was fun. I liked it that way and I want more of that.
