Friends are companions, a friend is someone other than your family, spouse or lover, they are people you enjoy to hangout with.
In life i believe we meet people for a reason, and for every person met in your life, there is an influence they exert on you. Whether a positive influence or negative influence. I also believe that friends comes and go, meaning that they can be in your life for a particular time, either for long time or just for a little time. However the influence of the presence in your life can be felt.
I remember one of my childhood friends, His name is Abayomi, we were so close, we go to the same school, we live very close to eachother too, truely i gained a lot from him like getting things done no Matter the challenges, his daring and bold Attitude or approach to things is something very rare. He made me attempt many crazy things like touring the whole neighborhood with tires, riding of Motorcycle and bicycle (The dare devil acts made me crushed one of my neighbors motorcycle on the wall, this was when i was trying to learn how to ride bikes) Right after entering secondary school, We went our separate ways and we didn't get to connect again, the rest is now history.
I met some amazing friends during my university days, i could say that was where i met some really influencial friends, people like Vickoly, Sholex, lensworld, wale, derby and a lot more of them, i must confess. After my University Day, I moved to Benue State for National Youth Service Corps, i had couldn't make much friends, this was because i was very intentional about making friends that truely add value to me, so Ajibola was the only close friend. The other friends aren't so close because they are colleagues at work.
This is why i have little circles of Friends, i don't have too much friends and am absolutely okay with that. I cant really tag myself as an introvert, because most of the time i am very expressive and outgoing with the circles of people in my Life.
Here is how i make new friends.
I make a very few friends because mostly i look out for the following qualities from them:
1 . The Discipline and Modesty he or she possesses. I usually look of for this on any new person i meet, it is very important because, if you hangout with a friend that is so irresponsible and lacks discipline, you will definitely become irresponsible and indiscipline too
2 He or she Must be very Hardworking
I look for this in any new peron i meet must be Hardworking, he or she must have something doing, in fact he or she must be very smart too3 Must be someone who has elements of love (Empathy and compassion) and God fearing
Many of my friends usually shows these attributes.
Do I prefer a lot of Friends or Just few ones
I prefer few friends honestly, i love my small circles of friends and even with the number of friends i am still finding it extra difficult to keep in touch with them, especially those who are not within my environment.
