It's a big pressure, I can confess. No matter how wise you, no one would probably listen if where money is being spent, you are saying some words of wisdom. I think the reason the problem is more pronounced especially in this part of the world is that the gap between the rich and the poor is too wide. As a result majority stive to leave the poverty line and be able to have access to the basic needs of live. If needs such as food, shelter and clothing are accessible to majority, the pressure to having excess money would reduce. Unfortunately, I don't see the problem getting a solution soon. Like you stated, the best approach is for one to live life for himself.
