I will start by appreciating the team that has been in charge of the amazing project. I do wonder sometimes how they come about the topics being posted on the announcements room of the discord channel for participants of the weekly Saturday hangout to vote from among. I mean the way the topics cover diverse areas of human lives makes them great. The moderating team works tirelessly to improve on the featured editions.
I have a few suggestions to make regarding some possible improvements as we begin another 100 weeks journey.
The first I would suggest is for the hive learners community to have its own hive engine token. From what I have read so far, it would require resources to float such a token but I believe that with unwavering zeal, it is achievable. Once this is done, the token could be used as the rewarding system of the Featured Editions. The growth of hive learner community is commendable and the more the participants of the featured editions swell in number, the more the adoption of the token.
The Hivelearners community is just starting to experience exponential growth. Having more serious members onboard is a win-win situation for everyone. As a result of this, I suggest that the verification process should be made easier so that people that are willing to join could find their ways in. I understand the reason behind the rigorous verification process. It is to ensure that real and committed individuals are given access into the community. However I believe in the ability of the community leaders to effect some changes that would make verification easier without the primary purpose being defeated.
This will also require more hands to come onboard to manage the population surge that would follow.
There is something that I would love to see happen if possible. I'd loved to see the moderators comment on every eligible post submitted for the featured editions contests. Even if a post is not considered for curation, leaving a comment on the post would give the author a sense of belonging. I know that it is not easy especially when the number of hands managing the community isn't enough to execute such. I hope this is looked into to see its possibility.
Propagating the Featured Editions in web2 such as X can attract more people to hive and by extension the Featured Editions of hive learners. I am of the opinion that sharing of entries in X should be made mandatory just like sharing on discord channel. This will spread the message of hive and featured editions of hive learners more.
On the genre of topics that I would love, I like to see more of finance topics. My challenge is that not everyone could write on some topics in finance, especially when such writing requires an in-depth knowledge of the world of crypto. To solve this puzzle, I suggest that multiple topics could be adopted concurrently. This will provide the opportunity for some veterans of this space to write on the complex topics for jjc like us to learn.
I believe that there is much knowledge to be transferred through the featured editions. The benefits of such are limitless. In addition to this, I will love to see prompts on what people are doing to contribute to the progress of others in one way or the other.
The world is becoming a jungle especially economically where the fittest survive. We need to spread love through giving and volunteering. I will love to see topics in this regard.
