This month just took off at high speed; abeg, let it keep flying, as I am just eager to see the special days come by. I have lots of celebrations for this month; in fact, each day is just so special to me, so let it keep flying.
I'm not even complaining. Hate speech is an act that has been immoral for time. Casting my thoughts back to the days of the children of Israel, shebi Miriam and Aaron were older than Moses; a time came when they were like, What does he even feel like? Is he the only one that can even hear from God? Moses heard all those things and even saw it from their actions, but he resolved to do nothing about it. Alas, it was God by Himself that played the judge in that matter.
There are several reasons why people resort to hate speech. In fact, many people tend to blacklist what they don't understand, and because their minds are little or they are so adamant to change, it becomes so difficult for them to relate to the situations, and before you get to say Jack Robinson, the news will be everywhere that you are a bad person. There is also this kind of hate that is inherited; this category comes because a friend hates you, so they come to hate you too.
Just typing this message, I remembered a scenario that happened last year when I went to my friend's house to anchor the daughter's birthday. Now it happened that before that year I got to meet her co-wife because we were neighbors in my shop then. So one of the days I met with this person that's my friend now. One thing led to another; my neighbor invited me to anchor her son's birthday, so when her co-wife saw my performance, she said I would do the same for her. As days and months rolled by, I became closer to her co-wife, to the point that we are now friends that both our husbands recognize. Now when I came for this, my friend's daughter's birthday party, my former neighbor was busy sharing some hateful speech with my friend's friend.
You know how some women behave, nah? She now hated me and was saying, Am I doing it too?". After everything, this friend now came and related what their gossip was on that birthday day; she was like, How will you join and hate someone who you have never met or had contact with? On my part, when she told me, it didn't bother me so much because I didn't get so close to her because there is nothing positive I see myself learning from her rather than how to spend money and engage in unnecessary competition.
From the first example I gave, I don't have a business of going around trying to prove people wrong or doing things to impress because I am receiving hateful speech. The only thing I will do is to keep doing things the correct way, and if there are things that I am not getting well, I will do my best to work on myself. If one should walk around on a daily basis and there are no haters or talkers, that means something is definitely wrong with such a person. Even in this present age and time, people will just hate you for no just cause or for even saying the truth about one matter or the other.
