Have you tried manipulating your kids before? This is no dark or shady thing. Personally, I believe every parent does it every once in a while. You know, doing one thing, or telling your kids one thing so they can do something else.

I try not to do that...just for dumb stuff like to avoid cheering for a specific football team that I hate hehehe
But for serious life path I try to be less of that
