The Impact of Determination On Learning.

in Hive Learnerslast year (edited)

Learning is one activity that never ends for humans, it's something we do directly or indirectly till our time is up on earth. The more we grow in life, the demand for learning comes into the picture; it's a natural thing but we can choose not to learn if we want. As important as learning is for every human, we can choose to ignore it but the consequences sometimes are always unfavourable especially when the need or a life-changing opportunity pops up that requires that thing we failed to learn.

Many of us have gone through different phases of learning longer than we can remember and it all began when we were babies. We learned to speak and walk and all these things are what has summed up into what we are today.

When it comes to learning, I am a quick learner. I pick things fast and there are things I didn't even learn that I can do up to an extent and if I had learned, it would have been a whole different story for me.

I remember the first time I built a cage for my chickens, almost everyone didn't believe that I collected scraps to build it. I have done a few things related to carpentry and it amazes me because I never learned it from anyone. The same thing applies to some minor electrical stuff, I don't hesitate to pounce on them immediately it happens even though I taught myself from making mistakes and watch people do them. I am not a professional with any of these things but I can handle the basics quite well without attending a training or something else.

One of the things I learned and it was quite easy was cooking. My determination to learn was huge and it really made me learn very fast. An incident happened before I made up my mind to learn cooking and it was an unforgettable experience for me.

My mom was away from home and I had to stay with a family friend. We were maltreated and fed like beggars even though we owned the food they cooked; my mom instructed me to go there with foodstuff so that I and my siblings wouldn't be a burden to them. Despite going with enough foodstuff, they still fed us like rats and I was pained.

I made up my mind to learn and it was super easy for me. I started with snacks and gradually progressed into making other types of food within a short time, the rest is history. Over the years, I have made money from cooking and it's one of the things I really enjoy doing.

Learning how to ride a bicycle was one of the most challenging things for me, it baffled me how other kids learned very fast but I couldn't. I fell several times and even damaged bikes from crashing into trees, fences and even pits. It took me a long time before I could get it right and after I did, I felt like the happiest boy in the world.

Between these things, I learned that being determined can make a huge difference for us when learning. I wasn't really determined to ride a bicycle even though I wanted to, I just wanted to match up with my peers but for the cooking, I felt cheated and was determined not to let such happen again.

Hehehe you like food and that geared you towards learning how to cook🤣🤣 Amazing!

But how can people be so mean like that? Take care of someone's child like yours, simple!

You can call me a foodie, it's one of my favourite nicknames.

People can be very heartless dear and it was their action that prompted me to learn.

Hehehehe🤣🤣🤣

It is well dear sis

Bicycle own?
Many of us are on this table?

That thing scared my life to the extent that I was termed a lazy boy for not being able to ride a bicycle like my mates 🤣

I was so scared of that stereotype injury

I have been following your cooking expertise on creative Sunday. It is obvious that you are a good cook. You learned it really good.

Thanks a lot for the support, I really appreciate you. Truly, I did learned well and that's why I can pull a few stunts in the kitchen today.

I learned how to ride a bicycle just last year. I was laughed at by my friend who taught me but I'm glad I am confident with it today. It's the time to devout to cooking that often worries me. Good you're daring to learn

You are good at learning. You are determined in what would you want to learn is a good habbit. Determination in learning has a bigger part in success.

Hi george it's good to know that you like cooking but you know what there are many people around the globe who are scared of vehicles specifically driving them, so it's not like you are the only but yeah I think you can learn it faster if you remove the fear of getting hurt while riding a bicycle. Hope it helps.

Every learning just as you said must come with determination because the truth is, if we are not determined, we can pass through the phase of learning and that is just the perfect truth to it

Riding bicycle was not really scary for me back then. Maybe because I had lots of competitor back then and I wouldn't want to disgrace my self

And yeah your dishes looks tasty anytime I come across them.
