‎It felt like it was yesterday the year started, here we are in the last quarter of the year, I must admit, time moved faster than I expected. It was just few months ago, when I had my plans for the year written down. Compared to other years I have experienced, I made decision that is quite different from the ones I'm used to making.

‎Nothing spectacular, I just wanted to follow a new narrative, to approach my goals and objectives using a different pattern. I mean it is a common tradition to highlight goals for a year at the beginning of the year, so did I.

‎How has the year been so far? I must admit, it is filled with lot of adventures. Last year I was overwhelmed by different unknowns that exist in my life, I was about to embark on a journey that I had no Idea how it was going to turn out.

‎A little challenge has never been a reason for me to shy away from a step needed to be taken. Speaking of the journey, it was my NYSC, a mandatory service for every graduate in my country. One way or the other, I embarked on the journey. Just like I predicted, the journey turn out to be beyond my expectations.

‎I was posted to an isolated rural settlement that lacked all manner of social amenities that I needed for my goals and objectives. So I put everything on hold, both my online and offline activities, just to ensure a quick transition to my new existence. It is quite funny how we humans underestimate our ability to survive, forgetting it is one of our greatest instinct that exist regardless of our will.

‎Like I said, time moved fast and I continued to serve in the community. around January, I only had about 2 months left before my NYSC journey concluded. From the beginning of this year, I said to myself, this year is a new year and I felt the need to dream of something different.

‎So instead of highlighting goals and objectives, I decided to explore the world of the unknown. It might sound like a surprise to most people but what we know about ourselves is quite little and I discovered this while serving. So objectives for this year was all about acquisition of more knowledge about areas that are unknown to me.

‎The first point of my exploration is the Crypto space. Not everyone got into the crypto space by learning the basics first, like I have said many times, my first contact with any web 3 platform was hive blog. Funny enough, I got in as a poet with little knowledge about the crypto space.

‎Knowing you can't be a web 3 blogger and still know nothing about the crypto space, I started learning gradually. What is the best way to learn, if not from experience? I have been on this platform for almost 5 years now and I must commend myself for how far I have gotten in the crypto space in general not just hive blockchain.

‎So this year I decided to go back and learn about the crypto space from scratch. You might wonder why? I already know how to trade and all but there were still some terminologies in the crypto space that are still alien to my ears. Which kind of sounds like, I knew the practical aspect but lacked the theoretical aspect of it. These terminologies have prevented me from taking advantage of some opportunities within hive ecosystem, especially when it comes to dealing with Dapps on hive blockchain.

‎When it comes to achieving my set objectives for this year, I believe I have achieved about 60 percent of it. The first thing I did this year was to enrol in different crypto related classes, which started from February and still on going.

‎Due to this, I have gotten involved in more crypto projects outside hive blockchain and it has increased my portfolio significantly. It wasn't easy I must admit, learning what needs to be known about technical analysis of the market nearly made my brain explode but lucky me, I survived 😅.

‎I also completed my NYSC journey few months ago, around March. Which kind of feels like, the first quarter of the year was the best part of the year for me. What other things are yet to be achieved? human plans are always open to adjustment but my plans this year weren't. It was not because it was perfect but the way I set my plans this year had nothing to do with time. I mean it is all about exploration of the crypto space and the unknown, which is kind of infinite. So I don't necessary need to put unnecessary pressure on myself.

‎I'm the kind of person that can never run out of objectives to achieve, though I have time based goals and things I really want to put in place this year before it runs out but still no pressure. The funny part is that, there are some of my plans that are based on specific quarters of the year or should I say month based, relating to those specific plans, I can't really wait for this year to run out so that I can open a new chapter in book of dreams.
