*Today I am joining the Creative Sunday initiative. I want to share once again with all of you in this great community. This time, I bring you a delicious and nutritious recipe, it is a tortilla with beet greens, excellent option to accompany our morning arepas or breads, salads and much more, I hope you like it.
Without further ado, here are the ingredients and the step-by-step:
-3 eggs
-6 beet leaves
-1 teaspoon nutmeg
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1 teaspoon black pepper
-1 white onion
-3 garlic cloves
-1 teaspoon oregano powder
-3 tablespoons oil
𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝕊𝕖𝕡𝕥 𝕓𝕪 𝕤𝕥𝕖𝕡:
- To start the preparation, we will wash and disinfect the beet leaves very well, then add water to the pot and add the leaves until it comes to a boil and remove.
- After a few minutes, we take the beet leaves to a colander and rinse them under the tap to moisten and cool. Then, we drain them.
- On the board, we are going to chop the beet leaves into small pieces, removing the stems. On this occasion, I removed them, but if you prefer, you can leave them.
- Chop the onion into small pieces and remove the skin from the garlic, also chopping it into small pieces.
- Season the vegetables with salt and pepper and add the nutmeg. Stir and integrate.
- Next, break the eggs and place them in a bowl, stir until it becomes a homogeneous mixture.
- Add the powdered oregano to the eggs and continue beating until these two ingredients are combined.
- Then add this mixture to the vegetables and stir.
- We take the frying pan to the fire, add the oil and let it heat up. Then, we transfer our tortilla mixture. We spread the mixture and when it is cooked on one side, we flip it over and let it cook on the other side.
Once our omelet is ready, we remove it from the fire and cut it according to our taste and the number of guests.
- We enjoy our nutritious tortilla with whatever you like, we enjoy them with a delicious arepa.
