With the amount of stress I go through while cooking lately, I could have easily jumped on the option of going for fast foods but then, I still know home cooked food is simply the best. While I was still in school, I don't eat so often because of the stress of cooking. You will all agree with me that cooking can be very stressful, yeah? Although there are some times that I will really be in the mood to cook but most times, I just do it because I simply have no choice. So, the answer will be that make my food by myself. I take fast foods too, but it just once in a while; courtesy of my brother most of those times.
Honestly, fast food is a very comfortable choice but of course, we all know you have to be financially fit to keep up with that. Although lately, it's been very hard to decide which one pays more since everything is now very costly and sometimes, you might spend more cooking by yourself than when you eat out. Not to even mention all the stress you will have to go through while making the meal. Despite all these though, home cooked meals still does it for me and I have some reasons to back that up.
The first is to guarantee the quality of the food I am putting inside myself. It is hard to trust all these people selling food because they will do anything to cut cost and make more money. How about their neatness? I guess a neatly packaged food can never reveal that afterall. I know some food vendors can be very intentional about the quality of food they give to their customers and put special consideration to their healths. Still, how would one really be sure and distinguish them? At least, I will be able to trust the food I make with my own hands.
Another reason is the fact that homely feeling that home cooked meals have. It is very rare to order fast food and not feel like you are eating pure junks, even if its a proper meal. Of course, there are some fsst food joints that makes food that has this homely taste but it is just very rare. You will eat some food outside and you will need noone to tell you that you are not taking something healthy.
Also, despite the fact that things are generally costly, I still know fast foods are costlier. During my mom's birthday in March, we went out for dinner and 4 of us spent about 60HBD. If we were to cook at home even for the entire day, we wouldn't have spent up to that amount.
However, looking beyond all these, if I were very busy and I am financially capable, I wouldn't have any issue with ordering out but honestly, I will still find time to cook sometimes. Fast foods can get really tiring at some points and you will just be craving a well cooked meal made at home.
