I genuinely feel like the luckiest person on earth right now, and that is because the most pressing burdens I entered this year with have been lifted. It's not even like my life is perfect or that I have everything where I want it to be, but I am feeling so grateful right now for these blessings. I was so worried about how to get it done, and it was so overwhelming at some points, not knowing God was already working on how to ease those burdens.
I sold my laptop last year, despite the fact that I needed a PC. I wrote about the reasons I had to sell the laptop in this particular post. I had a lot of things pending because I didn't have a laptop; I needed to edit pictures, start a professional course online, etc. I was also having serious issues with my phone, and I really wanted to change it. I didn't have the money. I had a lot of things I was working on, and I am not really working, so I had to look for other means.
I wanted to save up my HBD, and that was going pretty well until I needed to use the savings for something urgent. I then decided to join a thrift contribution my uncle's wife told me about. I took two slots so that the money would amount to something tangible by the time I packed, which was like three months later (end of March or early April). It was a long time, but I actually had no other choice. I spent a lot of time deciding whether to buy a phone or a laptop first, because the money would only allow me to buy one at a time, and I might even have to save money separately to add to it.
I decided I would get a phone first, and I was patiently waiting for my turn to pack while I managed my phone until then. Now, this is where it gets really interesting...
Last month, on my convocation day, I received a very unexpected surprise that left me dumbfounded. My boyfriend, @starstrings01, presented me with a very sleek laptop; it had almost all the things I hoped for in a laptop. I was so happy and super grateful as well; I didn't know how I could thank him enough for being so thoughtful. Thank you again, dear. I was able to resume many things because of the laptop that came into the picture.
So, in my head, I had only my phone to deal with, and that was such a relief, you guys can't even imagine. Moving forward, I was still waiting patiently for March to come so I could finally buy the phone I had in mind, the Samsung S10. To cut the long story short, so I wouldn't bore you too much, my brother surprised me with a phone last night!!! And can you guess the exact one? Yeahh, Samsung S10!! I was so dumbfounded again and super happy that I just kept thanking my brother.
It all just felt and still feels like a miracle, and I just couldn't wrap my head around how or why those blessings came to me. I am genuinely grateful for what they both did for me; they have helped me greatly. I am not sure they know how much.
New plans for the thrift money I am expecting? I plan to use it for my business—better branding, better lighting, more props—and I will use the rest to restock goods. Also, the next gadget on my list to start saving for, is a digital camera.
