Ice Cream Man
Until a few years ago, it was common to see ice cream street vendors touring the streets of almost every city in my country with their carts.
Usually during the afternoons, and accompanied by a catchy and repetitive children's melody that the cart played through a sound system, which over time, became a tradition that announced the arrival of the ice cream man, and in this way, children went out to the streets to buy with the money our parents gave us.
Today it is unusual to witness this, among other reasons, because of the accelerated loss of value of our monetary sign, which has forced Venezuelans to use other currencies such as the U.S. dollar, euros, or even the Colombian peso to meet our needs, or more commonly, digital means of payment through the cell phone.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Hasta hace unos años atrás, era común ver vendedores ambulantes de helados recorriendo con sus carritos las calles de prácticamente todas las ciudades de mi país.
Usualmente durante las tardes, y acompañados de una melodía infantil pegajosa y repetitiva que el carrito reproducía a través de un sistema de sonido, la cual con el transcurso del tiempo, se convirtió en toda una tradición que anunciaba la llegada del heladero, y de esta manera, los niños salíamos a las calles a comprar con el dinero que nos daban nuestros padres.
Hoy en día es inusual presenciar esto, entre otras razones, por la pérdida acelerada de valor de nuestro signo monetario, lo que ha obligado a los venezolanos a emplear otras divisas como el dólar estadounidense, el euro, o incluso, el peso colombiano para satisfacer nuestras necesidades, o más comúnmente, medios de pago digitales a través del teléfono móvil.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
